How can we design cutlery that can effectively cut through a hearty lunch, including meat and vegetables, but cannot be used as a weapon against people?

This was the central question we focused on in our design clinic. In this project, we worked with a real client from a mental health center in Israel and designed cutlery aimed at reducing instances of violence among psychiatric patients.

The project has entered small-scale serial production through plastic injection molding by "Rimoni" and is currently in development, transitioning toward mass production, with the expectation of procurement by additional mental health institutions across the country.

The cutlery is currently in use and undergoing testing at the mental health center, receiving warm and positive feedback.
